Volunteer drivers wanted: Andrew's dialysis appointments

A rota of drivers to Greensboro General Hospital would keep Andrew on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Andrew has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Greensboro General Hospital alone. After a foot amputation, Andrew can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 20 km each way. Andrew is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
