Alejandra has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Iztapalapa Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Alejandra can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way. Alejandra is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Greetings from London.

    • Best of luck, Ricardo. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
