We're short of hands for the Seniors' Tea Afternoon; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Seniors' Tea Afternoon brings together 117 neighbors in Baton Rouge. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Keep going, Oliver. Hope you get there. After 30 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
