Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 475 neighbors in Bekasi. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • so sorry you're going through this, Bayu. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.

Sending good thoughts. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

      • Hope it all works out, Bayu. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless

        • Thinking of you, Bayu. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money

          • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Sheffield so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Bekasi
