Volunteer day: Refugee Welcome Picnic, Tamale
Our small team in Tamale is running the Refugee Welcome Picnic and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 360 neighbors in Tamale. I help organize it with 11 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family, Adwoa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Adwoa. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. All the best.
Wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless.
Hang in there, Adwoa. Shared this with my family. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Fort Collins!
hope you get there. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
Sending good thoughts, Adwoa. Great idea, hope you get there. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
Take care, Adwoa. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Dehiwala.
Rooting for you, Adwoa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in George this morning.
