Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 161 neighbors in San Jose. I help organize it with 5 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of San Jose.

    • Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We're a small family in Auckland but we're thinking of you. God bless.

      • Keep going. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Cox's Bazar but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Cox's Bazar.
