Volunteer day: Refugee Welcome Picnic, Rochester
We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?
馃嚭馃嚫 Rochester, New York, United States307 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 535 neighbors in Rochester. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Glad we found this place.

Your post was clear and honest. Love from Howrah.
shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Kelowna
