Mukono
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 196 neighbors in Mukono. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Glad we found this place.

  • Hope it all works out, Kipchoge. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.

      • Sending strength, Kipchoge. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Bhaktapur this morning
