Volunteer day: Refugee Welcome Picnic, Latina
We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?
馃嚠馃嚬 Latina, Lazio, Italy955 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 394 neighbors in Latina. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck, Rita. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in
Hope it all works out, Rita. This could happen to any of us.
Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Manila donated after I showed her your page. Love from Manila.
Rooting for you, Rita. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
