Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 210 neighbors in Kingston. I help organize it with 5 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Junior. Looking forward to the next update. All the best

    • Hang in there, Junior. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too

      • Wishing you peace, Junior. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

        • Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. After 23 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
