Volunteer day: Refugee Welcome Picnic, Juiz de Fora
Our small team in Juiz de Fora is running the Refugee Welcome Picnic and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 587 neighbors in Juiz de Fora. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending strength, Cristiane. Your post was clear and honest. After 14 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Stay strong. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. God bless
