Volunteer day: Refugee Welcome Picnic, Dayton
Our small team in Dayton is running the Refugee Welcome Picnic and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇺🇸 Ohio, United States1,141 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 259 neighbors in Dayton. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Glad we found this place.

best of luck. More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out
Sending good thoughts, Antonio. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Dayton.
Praying for you, Antonio. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours.
Rooting for you, Antonio. I hope things turn around soon. After 28 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Take care.
keep going. Great idea, hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Dwarka so I could bring a meal. Take care!
