Volunteer day: Holiday Toy Drive, Istanbul
We're short of hands for the Holiday Toy Drive; can you spare a morning?
🇹🇷 Istanbul, Türkiye625 views
Every year the Holiday Toy Drive brings together 210 neighbors in Istanbul. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Praying for you, Uğur. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Blessings
Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted
Sending love, Uğur. Great idea, hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
Thanks for sharing this, Uğur. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless.
keep going, Uğur. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
Stay strong, Uğur. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 17 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Istanbul.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Istanbul.
Hang in there, Uğur. More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Sending good thoughts. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.
Stay strong, Uğur. This could happen to any of us. Take care.
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 21 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Epe.
Hang in there, Uğur. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Thinking of Istanbul
