Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Recife
We're short of hands for the Free Community Meal; can you spare a morning?
🇧🇷 Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil620 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 353 neighbors in Recife. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Good luck. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
