Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Ogbomosho
Our small team in Ogbomosho is running the Free Community Meal and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇳🇬 Oyo, Nigeria227 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 560 neighbors in Ogbomosho. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope things get better soon, Lilian. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Augsburg
Hope it all works out, Lilian. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Tucson so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Sending good thoughts, Lilian. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Hang in there, Lilian. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Salem
Rooting for you. More neighborhoods should do this. My husband and I read this together. Take care
Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Jinja but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Jinja.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 15 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
Keep going, Lilian. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
Best of luck, Lilian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Rome but we're thinking of you.
Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 3 people at work.
