Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Newcastle
Our small team in Newcastle is running the Free Community Meal and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇦🇺 New South Wales, Australia290 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 174 neighbors in Newcastle. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Hanoi.
