Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, London

We're short of hands for the Free Community Meal; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 159 neighbors in London. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

    Truly grateful for the support

This is the kind of person who restores your faith in humanity. They didn't just offer help; they genuinely cared about my wellbeing and followed through on every commitment.
