Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Iztapalapa
Our small team in Iztapalapa is running the Free Community Meal and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.

Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 208 neighbors in Iztapalapa. I help organize it with 5 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Thank you for reading my story.

hope things get better soon, Aar贸n. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Dortmund.
Praying for you, Aar贸n. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
You're not alone, Aar贸n. Great idea, hope you get there. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Iztapalapa.
shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Buenos Aires.
hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We're a small family in Mangaluru but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Mangaluru.
thanks for sharing this. More neighborhoods should do this. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Iztapalapa!
Hang in there, Aar贸n. More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
