Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Akron
Our small team in Akron is running the Free Community Meal and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇺🇸 Ohio, United States407 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 221 neighbors in Akron. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I hope life is good to you.

Great idea, hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Addis Ababa this morning. Thinking of Akron
