Volunteer day: Clean Streets Saturday, Tlaquepaque

We're short of hands for the Clean Streets Saturday; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Clean Streets Saturday brings together 253 neighbors in Tlaquepaque. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Glad we found this place.

  • Take care, Consuelo. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Put this on a community board in Oakland this morning. Thinking of Tlaquepaque.
