I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After the death of her spouse Vivian can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Vivian desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Vivian worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $3,100 goes: • Part-time carer (eight months): $2,000 • Medication and prescriptions: $570 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $240 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $290 Thank you so much. - Deborah
