Veteran in need: Sultana's next mission is stability
An air force veteran in Mangaluru needs help with a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

I served six years in the air force and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $650 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $75
• Training provider fees: $240
• Housing deposit and first month: $335
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

this could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Dehiwala but we're thinking of you. All the best.
