Veteran in need: Kshitija's next mission is stability
Kshitija served four years in the army; $650 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served four years in the army and was discharged in 2023 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $650 goes:
• Training provider fees: $430
• Housing deposit and first month: $155
• Transport to appointments: $40
• Essential household items: $25
If you're reading this, thank you.

wishing you peace, Kshitija. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. It's not much but it's yours
Sending strength, Kshitija. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Sending strength, Kshitija. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
