Veteran in need: Cora's next mission is stability
An infantry veteran in San Jose needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a back injury.
🇺🇸 United States5,004 views
Wesley served ten years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a back injury. He has been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote comes to $4,800.
Wesley is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $4,800 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,300
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,700
• Transport to appointments: $360
• Essential household items: $440
