After a large ovarian cyst, Wafa was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Wafa was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Alexandria University Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $750 short. my mother has been in and out of Alexandria University Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find. While we wait, Wafa struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Wafa won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $750 goes: • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $50 • Travel and lodging for the family: $35 • Post-operative medication: $45 • Physiotherapy sessions: $130 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $490 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Qasim
