Valve repair surgery for Sami: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled valve repair surgery in September is out of reach without help covering $3,800 of the cost.

Sami was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Mecca General Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,800 short.
my husband has been in and out of Mecca General Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sami struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Sami won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
