Valve repair surgery for Emily: covering what insurance won't
After a benign brain tumor, Emily was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Emily was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in November. The surgeon at Corpus Christi General Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,850 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Corpus Christi General Hospital since November. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Emily struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Emily won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $4,850 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,800
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,200
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $520
• Post-operative medication: $340
• Physiotherapy sessions: $760
• Travel and lodging for the family: $230
Every share and every dollar helps.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Emily?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about surgeon and anesthesia fees, advice is welcome too. Let me know if you want more detail.
