Used laptop wanted: Wayne is studying software engineering without a computer
Wayne is studying software engineering on a phone; a used laptop would let Wayne do assignments properly.

I'm Wayne, a software engineering student in Johannesburg. My laptop broke 3 months ago and I've since been writing assignments and sitting online exams on my phone - it's slow, my work gets lost, and I'm falling behind.
I'm looking for a used laptop with at least 8GB of RAM and a working battery, or any laptop that can run a browser and word processor reliably. I can cover shipping if you can send it, or collect in Johannesburg.
I'll take great care of it and be sure to share how my studies go. If you want to upgrade your own and have an old one in a drawer, you could make a big difference.
Thank you for reading my story.

Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Ribeirão Preto
Thanks for sharing this, Wayne. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Guadalajara
