Used laptop wanted: Ruan is studying software engineering without a computer
Ruan is studying software engineering on a phone; a used laptop would let Ruan do assignments properly.

I'm Ruan, a software engineering student in Pretoria. My laptop broke 6 months ago and I've since been writing assignments and sitting online exams on my phone - it's slow, my work gets lost, and I'm falling behind.
I'm looking for a used laptop with at least 8GB of RAM and a working battery, or any laptop that can run a browser and word processor reliably. I can cover shipping if you can send it, or collect in Pretoria.
I'll take great care of it and be sure to share how my studies go. If you want to upgrade your own and have an old one in a drawer, you could make a big difference.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

good luck, Ruan. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Put this on a community board in Obuasi this morning. Take care.
Best of luck, Ruan. Good luck with the exams, you've got this
Hope you get there. After 19 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Ottawa so I could bring a meal. God bless
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
