Union Park needs a repair café workshop - Kirana's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 482 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Permits and inspections: $15 • Materials: $230 • Safety equipment and signage: $105 Thanks for being kind about this. - Kirana
