Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Uche's essays until August.

I'm Uche, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics. I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work. I'm looking for an hour a week until August. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request. Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask. Glad we found this place.

  • hope things get better soon. Hope this works out for you. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

    • Sending strength, Uche. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Envigado

      • Thinking of you, Uche. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

        • Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
