San Fernando
The typhoon hit the Lakeview district on 8 July. My home was one of 88 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $900 goes: • Roofing sheets and timber: $340 • Clean water and purification supplies: $105 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $95 • Food parcels for displaced families: $185 • Tools and labor for repairs: $175 Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Jasmine

  1. 5% there. the plan for clean water and purification supplies is now scheduled. Thank you.

Hang in there, Jasmine. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. Take care

Hope things get better soon. Great idea, hope you get there. My neighbor in Cali donated after I showed her your page.

          • You're not alone, Jasmine. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
