Two weekends of roof repair for Dola, a disabled veteran in Bogra
The roof at Dola's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Bogra. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $570, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

Wishing you the best, Dola. Hope this works out for you. God bless.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in San Diego this morning
Thanks for sharing this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Stay strong. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Aurora.
Thanks for sharing this, Dola. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Lapu-Lapu.
Thinking of you and your family, Dola. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Shreveport donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We're a small family in Iloilo City but we're thinking of you.
Sending strength, Dola. Your post was clear and honest
Stay strong, Dola. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
