Two weekends of roof repair for Dipika, a disabled veteran in Pune
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Pune?

I'm a disabled veteran living in Pune. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $390, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thanks for sharing this, Dipika. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't give up. Take care.
Rooting for you, Dipika. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. Love from Berlin.
Sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Pune.
thinking of you, Dipika. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
