Tuition fund for Wafula: a degree in civil engineering at Nairobi University

Wafula is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Nairobi University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,100. The registrar has said Wafula can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wafula has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wafula would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Wafula isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,100 goes: • Final term tuition: $490 • Textbooks and materials: $55 • Outstanding tuition balance: $555 I hope life is good to you.
