Tuition fund for Thilini: a nursing degree at Negombo University

Thilini is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Negombo University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700. The registrar has said Thilini can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Thilini has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Thilini would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Thilini isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $700 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $50 • Outstanding tuition balance: $210 • Final term tuition: $440 If you're reading this, thank you.
