Tuition fund for Salim: a pharmacy diploma at Arusha Community College
Salim has worked and saved for four years to study a pharmacy diploma; a $850 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a pharmacy diploma at Arusha Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Arusha Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Final term tuition: $470
• Exam and lab fees: $20
• Textbooks and materials: $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Best of luck, Salim. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Bacolod!
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Salim
It's all in the list in the story. outstanding tuition balance is the big one at $310, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Ask me anything else.
Sending strength, Salim. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best
Best of luck, Salim. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Arusha.
So sorry you're going through this, Salim. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn!
Thanks for sharing this, Salim. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Kingston donated after I showed her your page.
