I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Kozhikode Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $600. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Kozhikode Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $600 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $175 • Final term tuition: $350 • Exam and lab fees: $15 • Textbooks and materials: $60 With deep gratitude, Pankaj

  • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Asaba.

    • Hope things get better soon, Pankaj. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Rabat.
