Mulugeta is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Addis Ababa University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550. The registrar has said Mulugeta can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Mulugeta has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Mulugeta would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Mulugeta isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Addis Ababa University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $550 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $170 • Final term tuition: $320 • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Textbooks and materials: $35 Thank you so much.
