Lawrence is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Columbus Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,850. The registrar has said Lawrence can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lawrence has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lawrence would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Lawrence isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,850 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $140 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500 • Exam and lab fees: $210 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Heather
