Fernanda is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Campinas State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,650.
The registrar has said Fernanda can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Fernanda has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Fernanda would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Fernanda isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $680
• Final term tuition: $910
• Textbooks and materials: $60
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
