Tuition fund for Elena: a teaching qualification at Bergamo Community College
Elena has worked and saved for five years to study a teaching qualification; a $1,250 gap now stands between her and graduation.
🇮🇹 Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy1,015 views
Elena is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Bergamo Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,250.
The registrar has said Elena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Elena has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Elena would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Elena isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $220
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Outstanding tuition balance: $970

Keep going, Giulia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Novosibirsk.
Keep going, Giulia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless!
