Ribeirão Preto
Daniel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Ribeirão Preto State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,850. The registrar has said Daniel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Daniel has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Daniel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Daniel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,850 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $810 • Final term tuition: $900 • Exam and lab fees: $90 • Textbooks and materials: $50 Thank you so much.
