After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Friday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,750.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (4 months) comes first ($2,950) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
