Tim is applying to university - who can guide us?
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Tim's essays until September.

I'm Tim, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until September. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Glad we found this place.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Amsterdam
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in North Holland. I'll ask around and let you know.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Rohini.
Good luck, Tim. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Sending love. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Love from Kathmandu.
take care, Tim. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best!
Thanks for sharing this, Tim. Study hard! My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Amsterdam.
