For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 347 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Materials: $330
• Permits and inspections: $35
With deep gratitude,
Tahmina

Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Gangnam so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Gwagwalada.
