The Pioneer vacant lot needs a repair café workshop - Scarlett's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Los Angeles are raising $2,350 for a repair café workshop at the Pioneer vacant lot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 410 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,650
• Permits and inspections: $350
• Safety equipment and signage: $140
• Tools hire and delivery: $210
