The old Union bus depot needs a community fridge - Naveen's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 239 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $180 • Permits and inspections: $25 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Naveen
