The old Sycamore bus depot needs a repair café workshop - Hiba's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Jeddah are raising $1,000 for a repair café workshop at the old Sycamore bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $320, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 462 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Materials: $610
• Permits and inspections: $150
• Safety equipment and signage: $150
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
