The old Harmony bus depot needs a skate park - Nokuthula's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $900 for materials.
🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa1,605 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $900.
It will serve about 218 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $900 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
• Materials: $730
• Permits and inspections: $65
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

How is Nokuthula doing now?
Stay strong. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nokuthula!
Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We're a small family in Scranton but we're thinking of you.
Thinking of you, Nokuthula. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't give up
Keep going, Nokuthula. Hope this works out for you. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Nokuthula?
Hope things get better soon, Nokuthula. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Ciudad de México so I could bring a meal.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
So sorry you're going through this, Nokuthula. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Dallas
